Carol Ann Smith, 81, of Franklin, West Virginia passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 at her home.

She was born November 3, 1942 and was the daughter of the late James Betton Franklin and Mary Ann Kemp Franklin.

She had worked as a medical technician at a nursing home and was an avid crocheter, loved reading and puzzles.

On January 4, 1961, she married Gerald Herbert Smith, Jr., who preceded her in death on February 26, 2019.  A son, Gerald H. Smith III, also predeceased her.

Kevin Smith (Theresa) of Franklin

One brother –

James "Butch" Franklin (Kathy) of Fort Myers, FL

Six grandchildren –

Kevin, Jessica, Jennifer, Heather, Courtney and Gerald IV

And twelve great-grandchildren –

Ryleigh, McKenzie, Cameron, Eli, Evie, Hunter, Kayla, Kody, Scarlett, Josie, Benjamin and Farrah

Her body has been cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
