Bryan Steven Propst, 46, of Upper Tract, WV passed away at his home on Monday, May 31, 2021 due to an apparent heart attack.

He was born September 20, 1974 at Harrisonburg, VA, and was the son of Sunette Kessel Propst of Upper Tract and the late Ona Bryan Propst (1949 – 1986).

He was a 1992 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1996 graduate of JMU.  Bryan had worked as a computer programmer for CitiBank and was a self-employed professional fantasy sports player.  He was a member of the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, hunting and football.  He never married.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his girlfriend, Carol Andrews of Murrysville, PA and an uncle, Charles Whitney Propst of Seneca Rocks, WV.  His maternal grandparents, Virginia Hevener Kessel and V. Leon Kessel, and his paternal grandparents, Bryan S. Propst and Velda Rexrode Propst preceded him in death.

Friends may pay their respects at any time from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Kimble Funeral Home, 80 South Main Street in Franklin.  A graveside service and interment will be held at Kline Cemetery, 4190 Ridge Road, Upper Tract at 6:00 PM Saturday with Rev. David Webb officiating.  Social distancing and face coverings will be required of all who attend the graveside service.
