Brianna Morgan Terry-Davis' Obituary
Brianna Morgan Terry-Davis, 35, died suddenly on February 19, 2016 at her home near Snowshoe, WV. She was born in Thornton, CO on January 4, 1981, the only daughter of Vicky Terry. Brianna and her mother moved to Michigan in 1984, where she lived in Hamburg and then Gregory, MI. Brianna attended Stockbridge High School and graduated in 1999. She went on to graduate magna cum laude from Marshall University in Huntington, WV in 2009 with a degree in counseling, and a focus on criminal justice. It was her dream to become a victim advocate, and she volunteered for CONTACT, a rape crisis center in Huntington, for several years. In 2014, Brianna relocated to her parents' home in Mingo, near Snowshoe, WV.
Brianna is survived by her parents, Stephen Davis and Vicky Terry of Mingo; her sister and brother-in-law Diane and Andy Bonenberger of Pittsburgh; her maternal grandparents Jack and Joyce Terry of Hamburg, MI; her uncles Mark (Cheri) Terry and Matthew Terry; her aunt Jenny Howard; cousins Kayleigh Frey, Tyler Terry, Michael Terry and Katie Terry; and a large extended family.
Brianna is also survived by too many friends to mention individually. She touched so many lives while she was here, and was a genuinely loving, caring person. She will be missed by many.
She loved reading, animals (especially her three cats, known as The Kitty Boys), beaches, dolphins and lighthouses. She had recently learned how to do nail art and loved doing her nails. Brianna was a fighter, and had to overcome many obstacles in her life, which she did with grace, good humor, and sweetness. She was truly an inspiration to many.
Brianna will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Hamburg, MI at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Humane Society of Pocahontas County at 410 Second Ave., Marlinton, WV 24954 or to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, which can be done by visiting their web page at www.christopherreeve.org.
