Brandan Michael Raines, 26, of Perryton, TX and formerly of Circleville, WV, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in Hemphill County, TX as the result of a truck accident. He was born February 16, 1984 at Harrisonburg, VA and was the son of Laura and Jeff Nelson of Riverton, WV and the grandson of Charles and Sue Raines of Circleville. Brandan was a 2002 graduate of Pendleton County High School, and was a member of the North Fork Baptist Church. He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from October 24, 2002 through October 23, 2006. Brandan had served during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, attaining the rank of SGT. In addition to his four years of Active Duty, he served four years in the Inactive Reserves. Most recently, he was a truck driver and in his spare time, enjoyed cars, hunting, X-box and poker. Also surviving are - His loving wife, Kellie Kile Raines, whom he married March 22, 2003 One daughter - Karissa Raines at home One half-sister - Andrea (& husband, Tim) Wyatt of Circleville, WV One half-brother - Bardon Lee Nelson of Riverton, WV His father-in-law and mother-in-law - Steve and Kathy Kile of Upper Tract, WV A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the North Fork Baptist Church in Riverton, West Virginia with Rev. Mark McAllister officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 PM on Tuesday. The family requests no flowers.
