Boyd Thompson, Jr., 87, of Hillsboro, WV passed away at his home on Thursday, September 10, 2015. He was born October 31, 1927 at Huntington, WV and was the son of the late Boyd Thompson, Sr. and Viola Tomblin Thompson. Boyd was a builder and an electrician and was a member of Hillsboro Presbyterian Church. On February 14, 1974, he married Irene Bryan Thompson, who survives. Also surviving are - Three sons - Steve Thompson of Huntington, WV Mark Thompson (& Kim) of Mill Point, WV Bryan Thompson (& Linda) of Mill Point, WV Four stepsons - Billy Ellison of Vanceboro, NC Anthony Ellison (& Linda) of Lavalette, WV Richard Ellison of Colorado Springs, CO Michael Ellison of Brooksville, FL One brother - James Thompson (& Lucy) of Huntington, WV Eighteen grandchildren And Thirteen great-grandchildren Mr. Thompson's body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Kimble Funeral Home, 18942 Seneca Trail, Marlinton, WV with Pastor Sam Felton officiating. The family will receive friends at Kimble Funeral Home immediately following the memorial service on Saturday.
