Bonnie L. Mowery, 90, of Upper Tract, WV passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

Bonnie was born April 18, 1929, in Upper Tract, and was the daughter of the late Alton Parker Hedrick and Mary Harold Hedrick Lough.

Bonnie lived on the farm at Mozer for 70 years, working hard to support her husband, Warnie, with his farming operation and raising and supporting four children.  She was a devoted mother and an outstanding cook.  Bonnie was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church, a former Sunday School teacher, 4-H leader, and a proud member of the Class of 1947 of Franklin High School.  She thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to the yearly reunions at the Wood Grill in Harrisonburg with her classmates.

She is survived by her children –

Dennis Mowery (& Donna) of Augusta, WV

Marsha Shenk (& Eddie) of Harrisonburg, VA

Jerry Mowery of Upper Tract, WV

J. P. Mowery (& Debbi) of Harrisonburg, VA

One brother –

Carroll "Skinner" Hedrick of Upper Tract, WV

Four grandchildren –

Brian Mowery (& Shawna), Jared Shenk, Luke Mowery and Grace Mowery

Two great-grandchildren –

Ella and Brady Mowery

Four aunts –

Icie Clark, Madeline Whitecotton, Pauline Waggy and Pat Hedrick

And many loving nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, Leta Decker and one brother, Bruce Hedrick.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2019 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, where Rev. Rita Beeman and Pastor David Webb will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 30 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be in the Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract.
