Mr. Marion V. "Bill" Wimer, 88, of Franklin, WV died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin. He was born June 13, 1924 at Moyers, WV and was the son of the late Marion Wimer and Mattie Moates Wimer. A 1942 graduate of Franklin High School, Bill was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was Parts Manager for Sites Chevrolet and had worked for the WV Division of Highways. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, V.F.W. Post #9666 and American Legion Post #30. On December 23, 1946, he married Bonnie Hoover Wimer, who survives. Also surviving are - One daughter - Linda Fay Rexrode (& husband, Gerald) of Sugar Grove, WV Two sons - Vernon Lee Wimer (& wife, Shirley) of Franklin, WV Jerry Allen Wimer (& wife, Ann) of Franklin, WV One sister - Ella Mae Rexrode of Pendleton Manor, Franklin, WV Seven grandchildren Fifteen great-grandchildren Two great-great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin with Pastors Craig and Wendy Richter officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery at Franklin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
