Betty Louise Wolfe, 88, of Franklin, West Virginia passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, West Virginia.

She was born September 17, 1936 at Dahmer, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late William Cecil Propst and Beulah Mable (Hoover) Propst.

She was an orchard worker and a laborer at the Erath Veneer plant in Martinsburg, worked in housekeeping at Pendleton Manor, at Hanover Shoe for fifteen years and at Pilgrim's Pride, retiring at age 80.  Betty enjoyed gardening, flowers, spending time with her family, and going to the Pendleton Senior Center.  She was Lutheran by faith.

On January 24, 1956 she married James Willis Wolfe, who preceded her in death on March 18, 1983.

Arlie Propst of Warm Springs, VA

Bobby Propst (Rosa) of Brandywine, WV

Nine grandchildren –

Travis Wolfe, Lori Swick, Brittany Alexander, Stephanie Florek, Laci Shreve, Nicole Arbogast, Nicholas Arbogast, Edward Paynter & James Wimer

Eight great-grandchildren –

Trevor Wolfe, Jacob Myers, Breanna Wolfe, Trey Florek, Harley Jones, Emma Jones, Jace Shreve, Addison Shreve

And two great-great-grandchildren –

Nora Wolfe and Tucker Jones

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Lee Scott, one brother, John Propst, two sisters, Anna Lou Propst and Wanda Roberts, and one granddaughter Bonnie Mae Paynter.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, January 16 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 17 in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Alan and Barb Sisson officiating.

Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery near Franklin.
