Mrs. Betty Sue Thomas, 57, of Paw Paw, West Virginia passed away Monday evening, October 12, 2015 en route to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center in Cumberland, Maryland. She was born October 21, 1957 in Cumberland, MD and was the daughter of the late Louie Schoppert and Norma June Schoppert. A 1975 graduate of Piedmont High School, Betty had worked as a motel housekeeper and was a member of the Paw Paw Christian Center. On August 12, 2000, she married Zachary Thomas, who survives. Also surviving are - One stepdaughter - Emily Thomas of Winchester, VA Three stepsons - Roger "Buddy" Grady of Levels, WV Murphy Grady of Baltimore, MD Zachary Thomas, Jr. of Winchester, VA Two sisters - Lisa Broadwater (& Gary) of Piedmont, WV Jeannie Thrasher (& Stevie) of Piedmont, WV One brother - Louie Schoppert of Keyser, WV Five grandchildren, one great-grandson and a number of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will he held, Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Paw Paw Christian Center with Pastor Frank Lambert officiating. The body has been cremated.
