Betty Lou McCoy Sinnett, 81, of Franklin, WV passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA. She was born October 30, 1929 at Kline, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Scott McCoy and Jessie Smith McCoy. Betty had worked at Bowers' Market, for Dr. B. F. Mitchell and Dr. John Harman. She was a member of the Walnut Street United Methodist Church. On May 13, 1948, she married James Lee Sinnett, who preceded her in death on July 15, 2009. She is survived by - One daughter - Brenda Lea Sinnett of Ellicott City, MD One sister - Starr (& husband, Jack) Hedrick of Upper Tract, WV Two granddaughters - Stacy Jenkins of Fredericksburg, VA Heather Aumann of Franklin, WV Five great-grandchildren - Brady, Chandler, Samantha and Danielle Jenkins of Fredericksburg, VA Wyndsor Aumann of Franklin, WV She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet S. Hammer; two sisters, Thelma Williams and Opal "Darlene" Bennett and one brother, Elwood McCoy. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Franklin with Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Sunday, December 12 at the Walnut Street United Methodist Church.
