Betty Lou Sindy, 81, of Paw Paw, West Virginia, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Winchester, VA. She was born May 30, 1931 at Kiefer, Maryland and was the daughter of the late John Curtis Platt and Beulah Hott Platt. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Sulfur Springs United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Darrell Belmont Males on September 20, 2001 and by her second husband of 43 years, Herman Sindy on June 11, 2006. Surviving are - One daughter - Darla Allen of Stephens City, VA One step-daughter - Cathy Sipes of Winchester, VA Two sons - Ted Males of Yuma, AZ James Robert Young of Seneca Rocks, WV One stepson - Herman Sindy, Jr. of Alabama One sister - Nelvia Chambers of Paw Paw, WV Eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren One brother, John Platt and one sister, Sue West preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Kimble Funeral Home, 188 Moser Avenue, Paw Paw, WV. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Kimble Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Travis officiating. Burial will be at Sulfur Springs Cemetery in Kiefer, MD.
