Mr. Bernard W. Raines, 73, of Circleville, WV died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He was born Jan. 11, 1938 at Dry Run, West Virginia and was the son of the late Bob Raines and Nola Hinkle Raines. He had worked for Lockhart Construction in Ohio, was a timberman, drove a lime truck for Russell Lawrence and retired from Inter-State Lumber in 2000. Bernard was a 1957 graduate of Circleville High School, a member of the North Dry Run United Methodist Church and past member of Circleville Vol. Fire Dept. He is survived by - Two daughters - Lois Waggy & husband, David of Franklin, WV Anita Huffman & husband, Bill of Franklin, WV Two sons - Marlin Raines & wife, Janice of Circleville, WV Danny Raines & wife, Kacey of Harrisonburg, VA One sister - Wanda Delores Rexrode of Moyers, WV Nine grandchildren Seven great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by one brother, Bobbie Raines and one sister, Leah Belle Warner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, West Virginia with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating. Burial will be at the Hinkle Cemetery on Snowy Mountain Road. Billy Raines, Bobby Raines, David Downing, Doug Shriver, Frankie Warner and Jeff Nelson will serve as his pallbearers and Mike Rexrode and Bardon Lee Nelson will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Kimble Funeral Home.
