Arthur James Sorrell, 84, of Augusta, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center.

He was born July 30, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland and was the son of the late Melvin Sorrell and Lilla Mae (Moore) Sorrell.

He worked at Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore and was a member of the St. Peter Church of God.

On July 28, 1967, he married Thelma Lee (Dingle) Sorrell, who survives.

William Howell of Baltimore

Five grandchildren

And three great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Melvin Sorrell, Richard Sorrell, Jerry Sorrell, Larry Sorrell and Leon Howell, and one sister, Valencia Howell Stevens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon on Sunday, March 23 at St. Peter Church of God where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon.
