Arthur Junior Sawyers, 71, of Fort Seybert, West Virginia went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 while a patient at VCU in Richmond, Virginia.

Art was born October 28, 1951 in Bluefield, Virginia to the late Junior Frazier Sawyers and Ethel Marie (Alley) Sawyers.

He loved the Lord and was an active member of Christ Central Community Church in Upper Tract.  He was a past member of the South Fork Ruritan Club. Art loved his family dearly.  He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army, a plumber by trade, a jack of all trades, and a master of many.  Art had a great work ethic and loved helping others.  He enjoyed working with leather, and created numerous belts and gun slings for many around the county.  He also loved hunting and was a Master of Archery and Master Scuba Diver in his younger years.

Seven grandchildren -

Fanta Kaba, Bintou Kaba (Tyler Seabolt), Salou Sawyers, Amanda Sawyers, Jae'Sean Sawyers, Janiyah Sawyers and Kellan Sawyers

Three great-grandchildren -

Tashaun, Nailah and Omilani Seabolt

And three sisters -

Dreama (Tony) Adams

Art was loved by many and will be missed.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Christ Central Community Church near Upper Tract.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, immediately following visitation, at Christ Central Community Church, with Pastor Sam Harper officiating.  Military honors will be accorded at the church by the WV Army Honor Guard.

Interment at Oaklawn Cemetery near Franklin will be private.
