Ardith I. White, 94, of Riverton, West Virginia passed away Monday, January 20, 2014 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin. She was born March 17, 1919 at Cherry Grove, WV and was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Arbaugh and Mintie Arbogast Arbaugh. She had worked in the RMH Dietary Dept., for Marvel Poultry and had retired from Hanover Shoe. Ardith was a member of the Valley Chapel Methodist Church. On August 20, 1938, she married Charles Cecil White, who preceded her in death on July 23, 2000. Surviving are - One daughter - Shurline Burns of Riverton, WV One grandson - Terry Burns and his wife, Cheryl of Mt. Airy, MD One great-granddaughter - Cara Burns of Mt. Airy, MD Ardith was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death were - Two infant sons Two sisters - Enola Arbaugh and Dovie Sites One half-sister - Vivian Huffman And four brothers - Charlie Arbaugh, Virgil Arbaugh, Lester Arbaugh and Jerry Arbaugh Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 24, 2014 in the Chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Robert Baer officiating. Burial will be at the White Family Cemetery in Riverton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, January 23 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
