Mr. Archie Kenneth Lawrence, 74, of Winchester, VA passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Winchester Medical Center. He was born January 8, 1939 and was the son of the late Archie Calvin Lawrence (DOD: 1970) and Mary Alice Lawrence (DOD: 1991). Mr. Lawrence retired after 30 years of service from Washington Gas (Gas Supply). He is survived by his wife, Frances Harold Lawrence, formerly of Upper Tract, WV. Also surviving are a niece, Carol Grippo of Lorton, VA and a nephew, Jeremy Lee Harold of Summerville, SC. Preceding him in death were a brother, Richard Calvin Lawrence (DOD: 1982) and his mother-in-law, Ruth Marie Harold (DOD: 2009). Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel, 80 South Main Street, Franklin, WV with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating. Burial will be at Cherry Hill Cemetery at Upper Tract, WV. The family will receive friends at Kimble Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at 2:00 PM.
