Anna Jean Simpson, 87, of Halethorpe, MD passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Genesis Eldercare at Severna Park, MD.

Born August 1, 1930 at Riverton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Don Burns and Mary Kile Burns.

She was a homemaker.

On August 4, 1948, she married Jesse Earl Simpson, who preceded her in death on February 10, 1993.

She is survived by -

One daughter -
Phyllis Joan "Jo" Staylor of Halethorpe, MD

Two brothers -
Charles A. Burns of Doe Hill, VA
Curtis J. Burns of Riverton, WV

Four grandchildren -
Dawn Mancini, David Devault, Michael Staylor and Mark Staylor, Sr.

And nine great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Bennett and Mildred Higgins and three brothers, Richard Burns, Paul Burns and Carl Burns.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Kimble Funeral Home, 80 South Main Street, Franklin, West Virginia, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 26 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stanley Kile officiating.

Interment will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton.
