Anna Lee Crites, 93, died Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her home in Myrtle Beach, SC.

She was born August 21, 1932, at Kline, WV and was the daughter of the late Paul Hevener and Bessie Calhoun Hevener.

She was a 1950 graduate of Franklin High School and had worked as a bookkeeper.  She had lived in the Baltimore, Maryland area before moving to Myrtle Beach in later years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon "Buck" Crites; an infant daughter, Cynthia Ann Crites; a brother, Paul "Rennie" Hevener; and two sisters, June Hevener and Yvonne Riley.

Surviving are –

One daughter – Lynette Crites of Bel Air, MD

One son –  Ronald Crites (Wendell) of Myrtle Beach

One sister – Nancy Wallace of Ladysmith, VA

One granddaughter – Cathi Bartynski (Matt) of Myrtle Beach

And four great-grandchildren – Connor, Sydney, Maddie and Harrison

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM on Friday, March 27 at Kimble Funeral Home where a funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Samuel Sponaugle officiating.

Interment will be at Kline Cemetery.
