Alma J. Simmons, 76, of Franklin, WV passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She was born May 14, 1935 at Franklin, WV and was the daughter of the late Henry Simmons and Gracie Alma Lambert Simmons. She had worked at Thompson's Motel and Restaurant, Boggs Mercantile, Western Auto and had retired from Hanover Shoe. She was a member of the Friends Run Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday School and served as Treasurer. She is survived by - One sister - Mary Alice Simmons of Franklin, WV One nephew - Owen Simmons and his wife, Debra of Franklin, WV One niece - Mae Mallow and her husband, Paul of Franklin, WV One great-niece - Cindy Moyers and her husband, Alan One great-great-nephew - Tanner Moyers Two great-great-nieces - Gracie Moyers Lily Moyers Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin with Pastors Charles Comer and Bob Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday, October 30 at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.
