Alice "Dot" Clara Huffman, 80, of Seneca Rocks, WV passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV.

She was born February 26, 1938 at Macksville, WV and was the daughter of the late French Vance and Margaret Nelson Vance.

Dot was a house cleaner and worked as a store clerk at Phares Store in Onego.  She loved to cook and bake.  When her garden was in full production, she loved to can "tons" of vegetables "just in case" for the winter season.  She always looked forward to spring so she could get a "bunch" of hanging basket annuals to put on her porch.  Her house inside was filled with dish garden greenery.  She truly had a green thumb.  Dot loved going to town to shop and just to get out a bit to see friends.  In later years, her daily routine included talking on the phone.  Interestingly, each of her friends and family seemed to have a specific time slot so she would know who was calling by looking at the clock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Huffman, on August 15, 2007 and a sister, Gaye Widanki.

Friends will be received from 5:00 – 6:00 PM Monday, June 18, 2018 at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Greg Adamson officiating.
